In the first book in the Time Hunters series, genetically bred machine-like warriors, Warlords and Warfem (men and women respectively), come from the planet Vardon. Other than warring with the vicious Xerans, they police time travel to protect the people in the past, the present, and the future. The Warlords rely on their computer and sensory implants to do their jobs, which makes them tougher and smarter than most normal humans.Temporal Enforcer and Warlord Galar Arvid goes back in time to 2008 to save artist Jessica Kelly from a time jumping thief/murderer, but the attempted murderer isn’t an art thief as Galar and his team believed. Instead, it’s a zealot, religious cyborg assassin from a Xeran faction, and he’s determined to kill Jessica and her mysterious roommate.
Jessica is a struggling human artist in her own time, but her supposed “death” rocketed her to stardom, and people three hundred years into the future are collecting her art. Torn between the life she left behind and the one awaiting her in the future, she finds peace and understanding from the man who saved her life. But Jessica is more than just human, and her newfound abilities—along with the fact there’s a spy on Galar’s team—threaten to destroy the happiness she’s found in Galar’s world.
Galar and Jessica are interesting characters, but I couldn’t relate to them. There’s desire, friendship, and trust between them, but then doubt destroys that trust. Though I understand why Galar purposely hurt and accused Jessica of espionage and murder, she forgave him way too easily, and that affected my liking of both characters.
Galar first appeared as a ten-year-old in the novella “Warfem.” In that book, he was a brilliant smart-mouthed kid who helped his parents fight the bad guys, but there was no brief recap about it in this story, which would’ve further explained his past and answered some questions.
Frieka, my favorite character from “Jane’s Warlord,” returned in this one, but he didn’t play as large a role. Riane, Dona, and Dyami were awesome characters, and I definitely liked them. The Sela aliens and the T’lir were confusing, and I’m not even sure what the T’lir is. There are unanswered questions and loose ends, but I think the plot lines carry over into the other books.
Overall, I enjoyed the time traveling parts and side characters, but I just wished I could’ve connected better with the H/h.

Warrior The Time Hunters Angela Knight 9780425220849 Books Reviews
The book is barely saved from 5 star rating by some inconsistencies and plot problems. The editorial inconsistencies are very minor and not obtrusive mainly occasional he/she. The worst is the screen door inside the house door, after all when you are outside the house kicking in door the screen door is first (unless the deep south has gotten weirder sense I lived there). There is a relatively minor omission that bothers me. The Xeran5 is fairly obviously a religious fanatic, this would have impact down the road if not immediately. But it gets ignored by the Enforcers. The two major things that I have problems with are frieka (the genetically altered wolf) who would be shredded to a shard if hit by a shard rifle or pistol and hacked if hit by a sword. Where are the powers that make him useful in fight? I realize that this is a fantasy but that's difficult to swallow. The other thing is the Cyborgs defined as having "mechanical arms and legs". You can't handle a multi g device or make huge leaps with just arms and legs reinforced. You need to reinforce the entire body; back pelvis, shoulders etc. This kind of grated. Again this is a fantasy and avoiding explaining the irrelevant is one of the authors major strengths; but still.
Overall the usual excellently written erotic scenes and characters. The plot is very good but not excellent. But still overall an outstanding read.
This book stands on its own nicely.
I enjoyed this book. I really enjoy Angela Knight's fantastic imagination about magic and the future. Although her time hunter series is good they don't quite reach the Mageverse series I didn't want to end. I love series that keep the same main characters. You get to know them and it becomes more fun to refer to them by their names.
I enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters, but I always hate when loved characters are killed. I really like for all the good guys and gals to survive every hostility. All and all, I enjoyed the story line. The antagonist should not have gotten away though. He needed to suffer. They could have brought in a new bad guy for the next story line.
Angela Knight uses words to craft a believable world and compelling characters. She does it right, she does it well. I can see, smell, feel, touch and taste her stories. When I read her books I feel as if I'm there. It is rare to find an author of her caliber. Most paranormal romances bore me to tears. Ms. Knight's protagonists are complex and caring, her heroines are especially interesting - they are intelligent and competent women instead of pathetic, simpering victims. I also appreciate the fact that as she tells her stories she does not beat around the bush (no pun intended). The characters don't have endless internal dialogues about consummating their relationship. They want to so they do. Thank you Angela Knight! Love your books!
First - this is my own opinion - I hope that you will choose to read the book yourself to make your own thoughts...
Secondly, I enjoyed this book immensely. I love Angela's books - from her old ebooks (which is how I found her) to the current themes.
Warrior was an excellent book - it brought back fond memories of my reading of Jane's Warrior and re-emphasized my memories of Freika - which was funny back then, but he is just as funny now.
The story is developed thoroughly, and has humor as well as sadness within.
I read it in one sitting - that's a score with me - if I can put it down and do other things, then it's only worth 3 stars - this one is definately a keeper.
Thank you Angela for doing what you do best! Now, where are my other Angela books so that I can go back and re-read them!
Enjoy!
